The NPD Tool & Die Maker will be accountable for:
Duties:
· Design/Program, layout, build maintain, and repair complex dies, jigs, fixtures and gauges.
· Design and build (complex) proto@types
· Program CAM software to program CNC equipment
· Participate in new product planning and development to ensure manufacturability of product.
· Investigate production problems and come up with solutions.
Level of Knowledge, skills and abilities:
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
· Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing principles/application
· Intermediate knowledge of reading and understanding engineering drawings/specifications
· Advanced knowledge of working properties of most metals
· Advanced knowledge of heat-treat processes.
· Advanced knowledge of CAD-Solidworks (modeling and drawings)
· Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes
· Advanced knowledge of measuring instruments
· Advanced knowledge of CNC programming
· Advanced knowledge of CAM software
· Strong problem solving skills
· Intermediate time management skills.
· Strong communication skills - Both verbal and written
· Advanced knowledge of tool room equipment operation
· Ability to work in a team environment as a positive member
· Ability to plan and schedule work to efficiently move from one task to the next.
Formal Education:
· 2-year Tool & Die degree preferred
· CAD, CAM, & CNC proficiency
· 5-7 years Tool & Die experience
Salary : $60,000 - $90,000
