Key Responsibilities:
- Administer evaluations, analyze results of evaluating assessments, and report findings in a timely manner
- Formulate plan of care and set long-term and short-term goals for prescription of services for clients
- Track and record client progression and mastery of goals; observes and records client’s progress, attitudes, and behaviors, while maintaining confidentiality per HIPPA regulation and ethical standards
- Accept clinical assignments that are consistent with education and competence to provide excellent care for patients
- Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living
- Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
- Assess client’s home and other environments and give advice on modifications consistent with their needs and capabilities
- Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
- Guide and educate family members and caregivers
- Use effective interpersonal relations and communication skills; facilitate the use of these skills with other team members to achieve desirable outcomes
- Participate in staff meetings and in-service education. Maintain CEU requirements as applicable per licensure
- Promote agency philosophy and follow administrative policies to ensure quality of care
- Bachelors or Masters in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited Program
- At least 1 year of experience
- License from the State of Colorado in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License
- CPR Certification
- Pediatric and Elderly Experience Preferred
