Job Description:
- The Plant Manager will oversee the management of all the departments directly involved in the manufacturing process to ensure that all departments meet production goals and budgets. The Plant Manager will drive continuous improvement across the plant and provide analytical data to the executive team regarding plant performance.
Direct Report:
This position is evaluated by and officially reports directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities:
- Champions ongoing operational process improvements throughout the plant
- Oversees operational policies and procedures.
- Collaborates on initiatives and strategies to direct the plant toward growth
- Facilitates ongoing improvement of consistency and quality of Finished Goods
- Utilize current plant reporting to reduce inefficiencies and waste
- Analyze plant report data and present findings at scheduled production meetings
- Resolves operational problems and develops preventive action plans
- Oversees plant profitability, expense management and departmental budgeting
- Manages plant personnel and provides necessary support, communication and coaching
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing operations
- Excellent leader with the ability to manage and supervise large teams
- Executive level communication skills
- Must excel in strategic thinking to determine new working methods that improve the business, save money and increase efficiency
- Bachelor's degree in business management or similar
- Prior experience in food manufacturing
Back up Personnel:
- The Production Manager shall serve as qualified personnel to back up the Plant Manager
