Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for our client, a growing company specializing in AISC Structural steel & miscellaneous metals construction projects.
This role will involve supporting project management efforts for a variety of prominent buildings, including healthcare facilities, schools, launch pads, hospitality / convention centers or stadiums.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate with detailers to monitor the progress of drawings.
- Review contracts to understand and confirm scope of work obligations.
- Identify, request, and follow up on required information from architects and engineers.
- Perform field measurements.
- Coordinate with other trades, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Schedule production and delivery of materials.
- Schedule and oversee erection activities.
- Resolve job site problems.
- Price and issue change order requests; negotiate change orders with General Contractors, Construction Managers, or Owners.
- Work with accounting on job cost estimates and other financial matters.
- Issue closeout documents.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Develop and maintain relationships with erectors and their capabilities.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications :
- At least 10 years of experience in project management for a steel fabricator / erector or general contractor, or a college degree in architecture, construction management, civil / structural engineering with 5 years of experience.
- Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
