A provider of protective structures in the southwest who designs, manufactures, and installs commercial canopy and sunshade systems throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas is currently searching for a PROJECT MANAGER with extensive commercial construction experience to join the team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for:
- training and development of assigned staff
- defining overall objectives and strategies for success of each project
- ensuring project controls and procedures are implemented and followed for each project.
Requirements
- 5 years of project management experience in large, complex facility construction
- Bachelor's Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or a related field. Extensive experience in Project Management may replace need for degree.
- On-site experience in the management of commercial new construction and renovations.
- Proficient in MS Office, blueprint review and scheduling software are required
- Advanced knowledge of principles and practices of budgeting, accounting, and procurement in order to manage construction projects required
- LEED AP, OSHA 10 Hour, and Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred
- Ability to visit job sites and travel when necessary
- Valid Driver's License required
Responsibilities
- Primary role is to oversee project after submittal phase through construction phase.
- Timely tracking of submittals, RFI's and other critical project documentation
- Prepare and submit monthly status reports and cost projections, review for accuracy in coding and processing of invoices.
- Ensure regular progress meetings are being held to identify and track action items and deliverables.
- Coordinate design changes etc. from architect and contractor RFI, submittal responses etc.
- Compile, submit and track all change orders submissions for scope changes.
- Oversee the work of assistant project managers and other assigned team members.
- Develop and deliver training as required.
