My name is Shelden, I am a recruiter in the Telecommunication and Information Technology industries, and I am currently partnered with a Telecommunications company that is seeking a qualified individual to fulfill the role of Project Manager.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Manager will be responsible for conducting site surveys, quoting projects, managing projects and field employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure the reputation of the company for excellent service and quality workmanship.
- Supervise installation, maintenance, design, documentation, and completion of projects.
- Perform site surveys and price new projects.
- Prepare change orders, compose job related letters, scopes of work, RFIs, close out documents, etc.
- Read and comprehend blueprints and specifications.
- Complete site visits to ensure quality of work and provide detailed instructions to field employees to resolve concerns or problems.
- Attend project job meetings
- Attending weekly scheduling meetings and work with scheduler and other PMs to ensure accurate and adequate field employees are allocated on each project.
- Scheduling includes charting out the project objectives and plans, setting performance requirements, and selecting project participants.
- Ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Manage budgets for both labor and material and provide estimate of completion on a regular basis
- Accomplishes HR objectives by assisting with recruiting, selecting, training, counseling and disciplining employees; enforcing policies and procedures.
- Manages and coordinates subcontractors
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Egress new business opportunities with owners.
- Builds and maintain customer relationships.
- Attend continuing education, training and safety meetings as required, and maintain a core competence as a Project Manager as changes in our industry occurs.
- Perform additional Project Manager and related functions as assigned by management and which management deems within the general skill and ability level of a productive Project Manager in our industry
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Minimum of four years of experience in the Structured Cabling industry.
- Possess a high level of independent judgment within established procedures and consistent with what is expected of a Lead Technician in our industry
- Knowledge of cabling guidelines.
- Ability to work extended hours (nights/weekends) as needed
- Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment are essential.
- Must adhere to OSHA Safety Standards.
- Must adhere to all company rules and policies.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable with our auto insurance carrier during course of employment.
- Ability to work independently
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- OSHA 10-hour certification
- Lift Safety Training certification

Salary : $70,000 - $110,000
