What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality inspector 2nd position at GPAC?
Quality Inspector Job Overview :
You will use a variety of hand inspection tools to conduct dimensional inspections, as well as conduct casting and weldment layout inspections.
You will interpret manufacturing drawings and will need to have a good understanding of GD&T. This is a floor position that will require standing throughout the day up to 10 hours.
You’ll be a great fit if :
- You can conduct first piece inspections, in accordance with The company's First Piece Inspection procedures and work instructions
- You can conduct receiving inspection functions in accordance with the company's Receiving Inspection procedure and work instructions
- You can conduct final inspection functions in accordance with The company's Final Inspection procedure and work instructions
- You are able to audit in-process inspections
- You can report results of all inspections to machinists and plant supervisors
- You are able to conduct casting and weldment layout inspections
- You can set up inspection gages
- You can perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
To be considered you’ll need :
- A Highschool diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Inspection required, preferably in a machining or fabrication environment
- Ability to use a variety of hand inspection tools and ability to operate CMM
- Good computer skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A willingness to learn and grow
Wage : $22.00 - $28.00 hourly
