We have an opening for a Quality Manager at our Plant. The Quality Manager will provide planning, coordinates, and directs the quality assurance program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
Quality Manager Tasks
- Represent the "Needs of the Customer" in internal functions such as:
- Ensure accounting for customer specific requirements and inclusion of quality specifications/standards.
- Push for the selection of appropriate special characteristics to be used on the plant floor.
- Manage and update the inspection instructions and control plans for all new products.
- Manage new customers
- Manage the continuous review of capability studies to assure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Setting and monitoring Quality objectives as documented in the Plant Quality Plans.
- Manage for the highest level of customer satisfaction. Develop improvement plans when gaps are present.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, and quality system. Maintains continuous improvement effort by managing/conducting analysis on product defects recommending improvement modifications for correction. Ensues proper problem-solving techniques and verifies the implementation of solutions and/or corrective actions.
- Act as main customer liaison for any quality-related customer concerns.
- Control further processing, delivery, or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency of unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- Manage all aspects of plant Quality personnel, including assessment of current capabilities and ongoing development. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Swan's policies.
- Manage the receiving inspection, final audit, test lab, internal audit program, gage and calibration process, and material tractability activities to assure effectiveness of the Quality System.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, capability, and statistical analysis.
- Maintain proper certifications and/or qualifications for position. Monitor and communicate Quality related operational measurable. Evaluate competence of direct reports to perform defined activities and adjust when needed.
- Evaluate, train, and guide for future demands related to strategic and operational plans and objectives.
- Experience as a Tier 1 Quality Manager/Engineer to the Automotive OEMs is desirable but can be substituted with other education and experience.
