An amazing company in California is looking for an RN Manager to add to their team. This would be working with adults in an outpatient surgical center. Due to the continuous increase in patients, there is an opportunity for a talented RN Manager to be added to their dedicated and motivated team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Masters in Nursing or Health Care Administration
- Current state license
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 3 years in OR setting with concentration in GI
- 3 to 5 years preferred clinical leadership experience
- Must be authorized to work in the US
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate clinical competence and sound knowledge base in provision of quality perioperative patient care. (Focus on Pre/Post operative, OR and Central Reprocessing Areas).
- Supervise care administered by all personnel.
- Interpret and implement policies, procedures, and nursing care objectives. Evaluate and update Center's departmental policy and procedures on an ongoing basis to insure compliance with technical advances and organizational policy.
- Collaborate with appropriate administrative, nursing, and medical personnel in clinical issues that impact the delivery of care.
- Provide clinical expertise for the medical supply inventory in accordance with budgeting, purchasing and quality control guidelines. Observe cost containment practices, evaluates, and maintains appropriate inventory levels in the clinical areas.
- Efficiently facilitate and coordinate the daily OR schedule through appropriate scheduling of clinical personnel to ensure proper staffing at all times and conferring with Surgery Center scheduling staff for effective scheduling of personnel, supplies, equipment, and facilities.
- Serve as a resource for other personnel. Direct staff regarding physical resources and keep staff informed of new or additional resources, as they become available for the ASC
- Provide quantitative and qualitative data for determining annual budget and for the support of management systems and purchase of capital budget items.
- Provide clinical expertise for Universal Protocol and ensure practices are in compliance with company policies
- Ensure proper documentation and reporting for incident report according to policy.
- Identify learning needs of staff, providing input for ongoing in-service training of staff
- Maintain a climate conducive to open and positive communication within the center
- Ensure proper payroll recording and routing, monitor and evaluate numbers of hours, overtime, and absent time.
- Communicate significant clinical issues to the Medical Director and participate in problem resolution.
- Manage staff in a fair and equitable manner to ensure that performance standards are met or exceeded; ensuing that employees work toward continuous quality improvement.
- Manage performance of staff through both ongoing feedback and the annual performance management process. This includes writing performance evaluations and conducting the performance appraisal sessions.

Compensation:
