Gpac has partnered with one of our top clients in New York and they are currently seeking a skilled and motivated RN Manager with a strong background in Long Term Care to lead their nursing team towards providing exceptional care and enhancing the quality of life for their residents.
Responsibilities:
As the RN Manager for Long Term Care, you will assume a vital role in managing the nursing unit's daily operations, ensuring the highest level of care for our residents. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Providing effective leadership to the nursing team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Developing and implementing nursing protocols and procedures, in adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless interdisciplinary communication and coordinated resident care.
- Managing staffing assignments and schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and excellent resident care.
- Conducting regular performance evaluations, delivering constructive feedback, and identifying growth opportunities for nursing staff.
- Analyzing resident outcomes and data, proactively identifying areas for improvement and spearheading quality enhancement initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and actively participating in accreditation surveys and audits.
- Handling resident and family concerns in a compassionate and timely manner.
- Contributing to strategic planning and playing a pivotal role in achieving organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Long Term Care settings.
- Minimum of 2 years of Unit Manager or equivalent supervisory experience.
- Strong clinical acumen and adeptness in nursing practices and protocols.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team effectively.
