Company Overview : Our client, a leading provider in the waste management industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Roll-Off Driver to join their team.
This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient collection and transport of waste materials to designated disposal or recycling facilities.
Job Summary : The Roll-Off Driver will be responsible for operating a roll-off truck to provide timely waste collection services.
This position requires a valid CDL A or B license and preferably prior experience in operating roll-off trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate Roll-Off Truck : Safely operate a roll-off truck to collect and transport waste materials to appropriate disposal or recycling facilities.
- Load and Unload Containers : Securely load, transport, and unload roll-off containers in compliance with company safety protocols.
- Conduct Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections : Perform thorough inspections of the vehicle before and after each shift, ensuring the truck is in safe working condition.
- Maintain Records : Accurately log all driving activities, including service completions, delivery records, and any incidents that occur during operation.
- Adhere to Safety Standards : Comply with all safety guidelines, regulations, and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Customer Service : Interact professionally with customers, ensuring satisfaction with the service provided and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Route Management : Efficiently manage assigned routes to ensure timely service completion while minimizing fuel consumption and wear on the vehicle.
- Maintenance Reporting : Report any vehicle maintenance issues or needed repairs to the operations manager immediately.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Preferably 1-2 years of experience operating roll-off trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
Skills :
- Strong understanding of safe driving practices and defensive driving techniques.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Familiarity with local roadways and traffic laws.
Physical Requirements : Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
