Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of construction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and regulations
- Review and interpret drawings, blueprints, and other construction documents
- Collaborate with project team members to ensure efficient workflow and effective communication
Superintendent Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee and enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Conduct regular job site walkthroughs to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to project plans
- Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Provide regular project updates and reports to management and clients
Superintendent Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in the educational, healthcare, or multifamily sectors
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with stakeholders
- Solid understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address project challenges and changes
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and construction management software
