The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing ground-up commercial construction projects with budgets of $5 million and above. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the construction process, from pre-construction through project closeout, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage on-site construction activities for ground-up commercial projects valued at $5M .
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of project plans.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to specifications.
- Manage subcontractor performance and hold regular meetings to discuss project updates and address issues.
- Review construction documents, RFI's, and change orders, providing direction as needed.
- Ensure proper documentation and project closeout procedures are followed.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a superintendent in ground-up commercial construction.
- Proven experience managing projects valued at $5 million or more.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Procore.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred, but not required).
- Familiarity with LEED or other sustainable building practices.
