One of my best clients in the food industry is confidentially seeking a Trader!

About the Company:

• They are a boutique, family shop
• Well-established, 35 years becoming experts in providing the highest quality of national and imported meat
• Committed to creating a corporate social impact

Job Description:

• Understanding customer needs, product supply, and industry trends
• Strong relationship with suppliers to stay updated about the products, pricing, stock & market trends
• Make strategic decisions to meet & exceed sales goals
• Contact potential/regular customers over the phone, take incoming inquiries, and gain knowledge of their specific product needs
• Product purchasing, sales, and storage
• A Trader who enjoys traveling, 1-2 trips per quarter, domestically and internationally (AU, NZ, SA, MX, etc.)
• Calls might take place before/after typical business hours

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in trading within the meat industry is required
• Knowledge of beef & pork cuts is ideal
• Network of meat suppliers & customers in the food processing industry is highly valued
• Spanish is a
• Entrepreneurial mindset, compensation is a draw against commission, based on profit/loss from trades completed and inventory purchased (You will typically sell only the products that you have purchased)
