GPD is currently seeking an Architectural Designer for our Atlanta, GA, Akron, OH and Columbus, OH office locations.
What we are looking for in a candidate:
- Architectural Designer with 4-8 years’ experience in the field of commercial architecture with a focus on multi-site, retail, or restaurant projects.
- Experienced in developing construction documents and specifications in the fast paced multi-site industry.
- Bachelors degree in Architecture or Interior Design required.
- Revit/BIM experience preferred.
- Demonstrates a customer service focus.
- Ability to work within a team environment working with individuals from various offices and in various disciplines.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task between projects and priorities at one time.
Typical day-to-day responsibilities:
- Architectural design and documentation of retail, restaurant, and commercial building design including ground up, tenant fit out, and remodel type projects.
- Meeting and communicating with project managers daily/weekly.
- Due diligence, permitting research, submittals, and follow-up.
- Coordinating with our internal team of architects, mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineers.
- Project Administration.
