Job Summary:
Project Engineers are responsible for turning field data into professional 2-D and 3-D deliverables to be used as needed by the client. Deliverables shall depict the interpretation of data with 3D models, 2D drawings, written reports, and mathematical charts and figures. They will work on a variety of projects and guide other’s work as needed. They will optimize and innovate approaches to data analysis often using evolving techniques to approach projects, but also capable of solid traditional vector mechanics.

Job Goals:

• Provide as-built models, maps, drawings, and reports from data captured by GPRS Project Managers in both 2D and 3D results.
• Assess complex field data sets and decide the approach needed to execute work to completion.
• Optimize, innovate, and create best-in-class techniques to create effective maps and models, reports, and analysis of field findings that meet quality expectations and give feedback to co-workers in quality assessments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team and lead other’s work on projects.
• Use a variety of software programs to create maps, models, drawings, calculations, and reports in 2D and 3D.
• Work with field findings to analyze and develop data for client solutions.
• Write small technical reports as needed.
• Create Deliverables and Department Content
• QA/QC projects to ensure accuracy and precision.
• Actively engage with the client through all stages of a project from start to follow-up, as needed.
• Responsible for on-time completion, overall budget, quality, and client satisfaction on projects.
• Consistently communicate internally and externally regarding project and client project status and expectations.
• Keep company ERP systems accurately updated with project information and status.
• Research industry trends and develop new solutions for continuous professional growth.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:

• CAD, Cartography, or Engineering/GIS-related degree or certificate preferred.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in a CAD Technician position.
• Minimum of 2 years of drafting experience preferred.
• Sound knowledge of engineering design principles.
• Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.
• Understanding of construction processes and virtual design and construction approaches in building services
• Experience with conveying concepts with 2D drawings.
• 3D Modeling with Autodesk architectural and engineering software.
• Ability to define a problem cooperatively and break down for analysis.
• Keen eye for detail
• IT skills and experience using computer-aided design software.
• Good problem-solving skills
• Must show a history of independent responsibility.
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and charismatic presence
• Appreciation for evolving technologies and processes.
