What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst position at GPS Hospitality?
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To provide Finance, Analytic and Reporting support to our Operators and Executive Team, including reporting management, financial analysis, data analytics, budgeting, and forecasting as well as ad hoc analysis and business case support. To be a utility player and add value cross functionally among various departments.
This role is a Hybrid position, with two (2) days in office required. Location based in Atlanta, Ga.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a Finance, Analytics and Reporting resource to our Operators and Executive Team.
- Be primary contact for the management and distribution for recurring business reporting.
- Assist with the Annual Operating Planning (AOP) and Budgeting process.
- Assist with period-end financial reporting and variance analysis.
- Provide support and business case analysis for various initiatives and projects.
- Analyze business metrics and collaborate across teams to identify risks and opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within reporting.
- Create and manage process documentation on all owned reporting.
- Assist with the creation, data retrieving and maintenance of our SQL databases.
- Complete ad-hoc projects and reports for business partners as required.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Minimum: B.A. in Finance, Accounting or Statistics
Preferred Minimum: B.A. in Finance, Accounting or Statistics
EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION:
Required Minimum: 0-2 years
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES:
- Candidates should possess strong intellectual horsepower and curiosity. Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Independent thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate/Strong Excel modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people with varying degrees of financial exposure.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple transactions / tasks under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Ability to drive innovation and business improvement.
