JOB DESCRIPTION
Theater Managers ensure the best possible experience for all guests and the smooth daily operations of the movie theater. Theater Managers are “a friendly face” at their theater location and are recognized and trusted by guests. They have a strong presence during peak business times (weekends and evenings) and special events. Theater Mangers exemplify our company philosophies and foundations, including our GREATS value system. The Theater Manger will have a high level of responsibility and will report directly to a General Manager.
Our theater is open 365 days a year, including Holidays. To properly fit this position candidates must be willing and available to work weekends, evenings and some holidays.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Train on all aspects of the organization to develop a broad understanding of the business
- Learn all systems related to delivering our services including our Point of Sale System (RTS), our projection equipment (Christie Projectors, Dolby Servers, Comscore TMS) and develop basic problem solving skills related to the technology and mechanics housed in the theater
- Oversee deposits and money handling initiatives
- Hire, train, and develop the Crew Members and Shift Managers in partnership with the GM
- Provide oversight of the operation, cleanliness, and performance of the theater
- Support the General Manager and District Manager in all facets of the daily administration of the theater including conducting inventories, ordering, writing employee schedules, communicating with vendors and partners, etc
- Be engaged, available and reachable to address any issues and immediate needs or time-sensitive challenges that may occur at the theater during reasonable hours (even if not at the theater).
- Serve as a liaison and partner with the GM to the corporate office and coordinate marketing, sales, and other related directives and functions
- Communicate and advocate clearly and directly with your GM and other management to ensure your theater gets the support needed to continuously improve
- Help the GM participate and engage in the community to promote our community partner standing
- Other tasks, as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
2 years experience managing a small team
Generally open availability
Ability to think critically and problem solve
High School diploma or equivalent
EXPECTATIONS
- 45 hour work-week with a strong presence on weekends and including some holiday work hours
- Willingness to maintain an open mindset, accept constructive feedback, learn, and grow in a professional setting
