Grace Health is looking for a candidate who utilizes knowledge of Health Information regulations, processes, and systems for, analyzing, auditing, developing, and training within and outside the Health Information department. This person would also provide support for the Health Information department. We offer competitive wages based on experience and up to 3 weeks of PTO in the first year! 1. Monitors and reports productivity and timeliness for Health Information staff.
2. Performs and reports audits for Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation as requested.
3. Performs and reports accuracy audits for work performed by Health Information staff.
4. Develops and maintains a process for peer reviews within the department.
5. Assists with generating and monitoring lists and reports in the NextGen application and associated systems.
6. Assists with coordination for outside audits of health information.
7. Serves as a resource person for health information issues and questions including knowledge of the most up to date regulatory requirements.
8. Assists with the development and maintenance of health information policies, procedures, and training materials.
9. Participates in professional development activities.
10. Creates, opens, maintains, and communicates department schedules.
11. Develops and coordinates the process and schedules for Health Information orientation and other training activities.
12. Identifies and trains departmental preceptors. Works collaboratively with departmental preceptors to evaluate skills of staff during training and provides feedback to management regarding status of training.
13. Assists with training members of other departments on processes related to health information.
14. Serves as a resource person for health information issues and questions including knowledge of the most up to date legal requirements regarding appropriate release of medical records.
15. Provides support and coverage for Health Information Specialists in the department as needs arise.
