Estimator
Gradex, Inc is a Civil/Heavy Highway Contractor who is family owned. We specialize in Warehouses, Subdivisions and INDOT projects for a wide range of customers. We are a premier contractor and are currently seeking an individual to join our estimating department. This person will be working in a team environment where jobs are broken down into phases. This allows us to specialize in various disciplines for a superior overall project. We use a means and method approach to all our projects to ensure the best possible product for our client base. We take advantage of cutting-edge software and hardware to support our growing department. Our coordinator assists in reducing repetitive tasks such as plan downloads, quote solicitations and bid tracking. We are willing to train a strong candidate who is highly motivated to succeed.
Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Specification / CIB review
- Plan review for scope items
- Utility takeoffs using Revu20 Bluebeam
- Earthwork takeoffs using Agtek
- Entering quantities into an Excel summary sheet
- Review quotes from subs and suppliers
- Bid Preparation using HCSS Heavy Bid
- Heavy Job and Plans App for post bid items
- Various reports from Heavy Bid
- Manipulation of data between software packages
Experience & Skills:
- Perform data entry
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Agtek, HCSS Apps, Google Earth
- Ability to read construction drawings preferred (willing to train)
- High attention to detail
- Time management
- Problem solving skills by breaking down large tasks into smaller components
- Ability to articulate their thoughts through written and verbal skills
- Knowledge of construction processes helpful but not required
- Not afraid to ask questions
- Military Service, College Degree or Relative Life Experience preferred

Supported by: Estimating Coordinator

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
