Now, you’re probably wondering a little more about what we are looking for, so here it is:
  • High School Diploma or GED – Required
  • Prior insurance or clerical experience – Preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of the English language
  • Basic skill in editing documents for correct grammar
  • Basic skill in talking to others to convey information effectively
  • Basic skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
  • Basic skill in ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously
  • Basic skill in data entry with minimal errors
  • Basic skill in managing one’s own time
  • Competent verbal and written skills
  • Basic ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
  • Basic ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Basic ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
  • Basic ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Basic ability to communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience


Want some more specifics? If you join the Gradient Insurance Brokerage crew, here’s what you’ll be doing:
  • Provide white glove, concierge level service for all FSPs
  • Build and enrich relationships with advisors and marketers
  • Provide direct correspondence and support for FSP inquires, including calls and emails
Specialty: Application Review
  • Workload will be distributed evenly to each person in department if assigned applications with a minimum expectation of:
    • 13 paper applications or 25 Firelight applications per day
    • With an error ratio 15% or less
  • All applications are to be reviewed same day
    • For Firelight applications received by 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time
    • For all other applications received by 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time
    • If in good order, application is to be approved or sent the same day (fax/email/upload/overnight)
    • If there are missing requirements, the FSP must be notified the same day
  • Business Central
  • Miscellaneous mail received must be completed daily
  • Upload Scans to Cases
  • All other duties as assigned
Specialty: Follow-Ups
  • Complete 70-80 regular follow-ups with an error ratio of 15% or less
  • Complete 40-50 transfer follow-ups with an error ratio of 15% or less
  • Miscellaneous mail received must be completed daily

  • Provide direct correspondence and support for FSP inquires, including calls, emails and face-to-face
  • All other duties as assigned
