JOB SUMMARY:
A Microbiologist conducts specialized microbiologic procedures related to control of hospital-acquired infections and performs basic infection prevention surveillance, under the supervision of the Hospital Epidemiologist and the Director of Infection Prevention.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree is required.

Master’s degree is preferred.

A minimum of five years of microbiology laboratory experience is required.

Certification in Microbiology by American Society of Clinical Pathology or equivalent required within one (1) year of employment
