SUMMARY
Reporting to the District Manager, provides emergency medical care in the pre-hospital environment in accordance with established medical protocols. Ensures the readiness of assigned emergency vehicles, equipment and shift personnel. Provides safe and effective care and transportation of patients. Coordinates with Fleet Services and Deployment to ensure the accurate asset allocation and inventory availability. Assumes field and/or shift command for decision making in the absence of the District Manager. Collaborates with Staff Development Managers for assigned new hires and academy interns. Acts as a role model for current and new staff members, providing open communication and enhancing engagement throughout the assigned shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Two years Paramedic experience in 911 system.
- Active Georgia Paramedic License
- Current driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle report insurable by the department at the standard rate.
- Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS.
