The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of property maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Essential Job Functions:
- Conduct routine maintenance on rental properties, including multi-family properties, single-family homes, and commercial properties.
- Respond to maintenance requests.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues with property systems, including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
- Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and equipment.
- Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans for properties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Secondary:
- Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and adjust irrigation systems including but not limited to lines, heads, and timers.
- Landscape maintenance to include pruning, trimming, weeding, gutter cleaning, and leaf cleanup.
- Maintain quality exterior appearance of properties, including but not limited to:
a. Entryway: wipe down hand-railings, cobwebs, sweep and /or vacuum flooring.
b. Clean laundry rooms to include: Washers/dryers, flooring, windows, and doors.
c. Grounds – Clean up all trash and debris on grounds including: Common areas, sidewalks, planting beds, parking lots, dumpster areas, and playgrounds.
d. Buildings – Paint / touch-up paint as needed
- Maintenance repairs on fences, siding, sprinklers, etc.
- Snow Removal: Plowing, clearing sidewalks, and ice melt
- These duties are illustrative only and you may perform some or all of these duties or other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Participate in the after-hours & weekend on-call rotation.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical degree or certificate in relevant field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with tenants and team members.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
