Graff Lab Studio in HOLTSVILLE is an artistic creative space. We offer public workshops, birthday parties for children and adults, fundraisers, ladies nights, and team building workshops. We are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic individual to join our art event studio as an Assistant Manager.

This is a fun and fast paced environment. Must be Energetic, EXTROVERTED, motivated, and enthusiastic! Our ideal candidate is focused on creating the best possible events for our guests while assisting the Studio Manager in keeping up with the studio.

As the Assistant Studio Manager you will work closely with the Studio Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure the smooth running of our workshop events. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about the arts, event planning, and customer service. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining the studio space as well as helping train new staff members, lead your own events, keeping inventory of the studio, and handling the payments for events. As the Assistant Studio Manager you are tasked with being able to step into a leadership role at all times, customer service experience is key for leading in studio events. This is a very important role in the studio space, you will have other staff members as well as guests looking to you for help when needed.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including EVENINGS and WEEKENDS IS A MUST, although some midweek events may occur.

Opportunities to travel to offsite events during the weekdays are also available for you.

  • Manage events and professionally addressing potential problems that may arise.
  • Must be able to work constructively with staff and customers while maintaining maturity and professionalism, as you are a representation of our brand.
  • Helping artists and guests at the event with painting, ex: leading live demos to the event, spraying custom names onto items, helping add designs to pieces.
  • Keep the studio clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Maintain a high level of performance to ensure a positive guest experience throughout the entire event, and for multiple events per day.
  • Ability to lift, at least 30 pounds.
  • Set up party space with paper goods, favors, cake, etc. and serve food and drinks to all party guests.
  • Assist guests with bringing party items to the party room prior to the party and to their cars at the conclusion of the party if requested.
  • Maintain a neat, professional and appropriate appearance while interacting with young children and their families.
  • Organizational skills are a must to keep inventory and maintain studio stock rooms.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to keep high energy for back to back events.
  • MUST have past leadership experience.
  • MUST have previous customer service experience.
  • MUST be able to maintain professional manner and appearance around kids, especially in stressful situations.
  • MUST have reliable transportation
  • MUST be able to commit to events once booked
  • MUST be available to work all weekends, including some Holidays.
  • MUST be reliable, outgoing, friendly and able to help people have a fun time.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
