Essential Duties and Responsibilities Main responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned, per business needs): Ability to read and understand production schedule and set up pouring ends accordingly. Ability to learn how to pour iron correctly and safely. Ability to handle manual ladles/ratchets, slag skimmers and temperature lances. Ability to push heavy carts onto a skip hoist. Ability to manually knock out castings from sand mold. Keeps work area clean. Follows all company and departmental safety procedures. Education /Training High school diploma or GED is desired. Qualifications/Experience Demonstrated application of team and communication skills, ability to learn company and departmental safety procedures, and have the ability to thoroughly understand applicable ISO procedures and work instructions. Background in labor-intensive work. Ability to follow instructions. Ability to understand the company’s departmental scheduling system. Ability to learn to operate all equipment necessary for the effective flow of materials through the department. Certificates / Licenses / Registrations / Competencies None Languages English language functional communication required.
