About the Internship
Youth Success Intern supports students in Graham After School Programs and advocate for their emotional, mental and physical wellbeing. This internship will allow the selected candidates to connect and mentor at-risk youth through the program with helpful resources. Each intern will be expected to conduct home visits to further engage and support the youths through field work.
The Youth Success Internship allows selected candidates to work at Graham's Harlem Beacon Community Center in PS/MS 123 a K-8 school. The intern will collaborate with program staff to identify students that are struggling emotionally, socially or academically and identify the root cause of their issues. They educate students on social and emotional concepts and they will administer mental health support to the student body.
