About the Role:
Moltz Construction Inc. is looking for n HR Payroll Accountant to support the Payroll Team, in their Salida, Colorado office. Reporting to the Operations Accountant, the HR Payroll Accountant is responsible for overseeing various HR and payroll tasks, as designated.
As an HR Payroll Accountant at Moltz Construction Inc., you will:
- Processing new and maintaining existing employee information into the appropriate systems, on a timely basis with accuracy
- Track employee eligibility and enrollment for benefits programs, 401(k), HSA account management, employment anniversaries, etc
- Review documentation received from all sources for completeness and accuracy prior to entering into the appropriate systems
- Perform proper checks to ensure no duplication of employees in the system (contractors, temporary employees, etc.)
- Time entry adjustments as required, assistance with Census and EEO Surveys
- Calculating retroactive pay adjustments and accurate entry into the payroll system as needed
- Handle external employee-related information requests, such as employment verification
- Reconciliation of vendor payables as assigned ensuring that all are in balance prior to requesting payments
Qualifications & Experience:
- Completion of a University (Bachelor) program is preferred
- Ability to collaborate with operations, different business units, internal and external clients, and stakeholders as needed
- High level of organizational skills and accuracy
- 3 to 5 years experience in data entry and/or accounts payable with high volumes of transactions in a construction environment preferred
- Experience with Davis Bacon is an asset
- Ability to work with the Payroll Team to resolve general calculation and formula issues, to create accurate remittances
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $50-$80K per annum based on experience
