PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair process control instrumentation, electrical equipment, programmable logic controllers, distributed control systems, and power distribution equipment.
Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, specifications and instructions covering emergency and scheduled repairs, installation and electrical inspection work to be performed.
Program, configure, modify, and correctly save changes associated with DCS, PLC’s, and other proprietary controls.
Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of material and principles of operation of electrical equipment.
Energize and de-energize electrical distribution systems including but not limited to 120V single phase, 480V 3 phase, 4160V 3 phase, and 13.8kV 3 phase.
Service electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuits, printed circuit boards, and similar electronic devices.
Install, repair, and maintain communication cables, power distribution equipment, MCC rooms, and related branch circuits.
Size, lay out, install, and repair threaded conduit and wiring systems.
Perform work in accordance with all safety rules and regulations and plant policies and procedures.
Work as a team with other E&I Technicians, Mechanical Maintenance and Production Operators to troubleshoot and repair equipment problems in the process.
EDUCATION:
2-year degree in Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or related technical field is desired.
OR
A minimum of 3 years of relevant job experience in a manufacturing environment required.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience troubleshooting and programming PLC’s (i.e. Allen Bradley)
Knowledge of Process Control Instrumentation calibration
Variable Frequency Drive installation and troubleshooting
Electrical maintenance knowledge of 24VDC, 120 volt single phase, 480 VAC, 4160VAC, 13.8 VAC 3 phase power systems
Electrical theory and principles for operation of electrical equipment
Ability to read, understand, and apply the National Electrical Code
