Position Details:
You will oversee a team of 10-15 maintenance technicians in keeping our Roanoke, TX Distribution Center maintained and running. You will be reporting to the Manager DC Facilities. You will work a 2nd shift providing maintenance support for our maintenance team working Monday through Friday.
You Will:
- Review work requests and respond or assign to your team to ensure projects are completed within deadlines
- Provide coaching, feedback, and development to team members to create an environment that promotes growth and safety. This includes performance evaluations, recognition, and disciplinary action.
- Identify and diagnose problems and recommend solutions for all equipment, building, and system failures, including automation and robotic equipment
- Make recommendations to improve performance, efficiencies, and safety of Operational Equipment such as conveyors, power industrial equipment, goods to person
- Analyze preventive and predictive maintenance programs for effectiveness or safety and develop programs where none exist.
- Use the Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) to create preventative maintenance schedules and work assignments to repair, replace, or remove equipment, fixtures, or furniture.
- Partner with Operations and other departments within Grainger and with vendors, suppliers, and contractors to limit impact on operations.
You Have:
- Experience leading a team of maintenance technicians
- Five years experience in large warehouse or distribution center maintenance operations
- Experience maintaining building management systems and automated material handling equipment such as I/O device network systems (e.g. Profibus/CanBus/Ethernet, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Motor controls/Drives, and Power Distribution Systems)
- Knowledge of Fire Protection systems, Electrical controls and distribution
