POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director, Accounting is responsible for providing strategic oversight to the accounting activities for the Health Support Center (HSC), including but not limited to the following departments: Accounts Payable, Facility Intercompany, Insurance and Insurance Captive, Legal and Cash.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Oversee, organize, direct, lead, mentor and develop a team by reviewing and approving work product, providing strategic and daily guidance to achieve objectives, and developing individuals to position for growth.
- Responsible for all accounting aspects and fielding questions, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance/reporting.
- Manage the general ledger, Accounts Payables (AP), budget processes, and monthly reporting for management.
- Lead department initiatives as directed by the Vice President, HSC Accounting and the Company.
- Maintain policy compliance and ensure accountability with current U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and uniformly understand, interpret, and administer for the HSC, hospitals, and newly acquired hospitals.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with other department leaders and all hospitals.
- Complete goals and special project within given deadline.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
- Knowledge of GAAP, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations, and state regulatory environments as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

Salary: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
