Grammer is looking for a Quality Engineering Technician at our Beloit, WI location.
About the job
The Quality Supervisor facilitates the effectiveness of the Quality Department in meeting its objectives by providing guidance, instruction, leadership and motivation to Quality staff on daily activities, tasks, assignments and problems which arise. Performs review of Quality policies and procedures and implements any changes. Researches and implements continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise the Quality department in its daily objectives, activities, tasks, assignments and problem which may arise
Represent and fulfill the role of Quality Manager when unavailable
Manage Test Labs (Performance Testing, Calibration and CMM)
Provide training as required to subordinates and other members of the company where needed
Daily review of shop floor
Participate in MPS workshops or other methods and encourage continual improvement
Adhere to, implement and maintain MAFACT
Track Prototype builds and verify whether they are okay to ship
Weekly Payroll for all Employees under him/her within the Quality Department
Review disposition as part of the team for internal non-conformances
Ensure all QE logs are maintained by subordinates. Examples include:
PPAP Logs
Customer Quality Alert log
Key Qualifications/Requirements
5 years Supervisory experience, preferably in the Automotive Industry; Bachelor's degree
Certified Quality Engineer and/or Post-Secondary Degree
Sound knowledge of IATF 16949 Quality Standard
Effective communication skills (oral and written) including timely response to customers
Strong problem-solving skills
Proficient in use of Microsoft tools; Excel, Word and Adobe
