What are the responsibilities and job description for the PT Warehouse Coordinator position at Grand Furniture?
Purpose: The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the warehouse efficiencies in the absence of the Director of Distribution. On a daily basis the Inbound Assistant Manager is responsible for all inbound activities.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to multi-task with accuracy and efficiency.
- Responsible for ensuring that all inbound receipts are complete and free from damage by managing the Receiving, internal transportation and satellite warehouse through daily strategic planning and follow up.
- Ability to resolve problems with critical thinking skills and remove roadblocks with minimal supervision.
- Responsible for communication and support of HR Initiatives, including but not limited to: hiring, performance management, implementation and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Must support GrandBrand Core Values on a daily basis.
- Must be able to work a schedule that supports the needs of the business.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of computerized inventory and tracking systems
- Ability to attend and communicate strategic plans during meetings and presentations.
- Communication skills: must possess excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity and be flexible responding to internal and external customer requirements.
- Must be certified to operate machinery and ensure safety practices are being followed by all employees.
Physical Demands / Environment: This is primarily a warehouse role. Moderate walking, standing and/or climbing; heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching.
Working in conditions that are not climate controlled.
Tools / Equipment: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, and inventory control programs.
Qualifications: College degree preferred with at least 5 years of experience in warehouse leadership roles.
