This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Book-Keeper at the YMCA of Grand Island maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals and coordinates intermediate level accounting functions such as general ledger/account maintenance, account reconciliation, data processing and reporting.
Essentials:
Must be able to prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in relationship to the budget, prior year and strategic plan.
Must be proficient in QuickBooks.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Prepares Statement of Activities and Statement of Financial Position
Reconciles bank statements, maintains recurring journal entries and reviews and prepares non-recurring journal entries.
