EDUCATION: High school diploma or G.E.D.

EXPERIENCE: Customer service, supervisory, and at least 1–2 year(s) casino operations experience required

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Required to obtain and maintain a Seneca Cayuga tribal gaming license; State issued ID

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time; stoop, bend, twist and lift up to 35 pounds regularly.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Grand Lake Casino is a drug and alcohol-free workplace; Must be able to work in a casino environment which includes high levels of smoke, dust, noise, bright & flashing lights.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing and overseeing the activities of the Casino during assigned shift.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Oversees all departments when managers are not present
• Supervises leads and delegates tasks and authority
• Develops, applies, and maintains a friendly, courteous rapport with guests and staff
• Responds to guest and staff concerns and complaints
• Solves problems with professionalism and compassion
• Ensures adequate coverage for all departments
• Verifies and authorizes slot related transactions
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of all departments' operational policies, procedures, and regulations
• Stays up to date on all special events and promotional activities
• Ensure staff members are following established guidelines with regards to appearance
• Communicates with department managers to ensure efficient operations
• Investigates incidents; interviews witnesses and drafts legible, factual reports
• Operates hand-held radio, speaking clearly, using established signals & codes
• Has the ability to remain calm in emergencies or stressful situations

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Reliable transportation
• At least 21 years of age
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Multitasking skills
• Adaptability
