The Pastry Chef is responsible for all baking and pastry food product served at: Banquets, breakfast, breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner, meal sites and outlets. This responsibility includes: planning, scheduling, organizing and directing work, training personnel, ensuring all procedures and standards are in compliance with NPS, Brand Standard and Internal Audits. The Chef is also responsible for the ordering of supplies, the supervision & training of staff, the monthly inventories, including labor and food costs, and the deputation of sous chefs. The Pastry Chef oversees a staff of 8 employees, and is responsible to monitor employee clock in and clock out. This position additionally assists in oversight of Employee Dining Room.
The “must haves” for this position include:
- 1 year pastry chef experience
We prefer that you additionally have the following skills / experience, but it is not required:
- Multi Outlet resort experience
- Knowledge of advanced pastry techniques, cake decorating, breads and doughs
- High volume production
