First shift, Mon-Fri, with Overtime and weekend hours available

Description:

Now hiring an Operations Support Specialist for our Solon location. Granex is a national industry leader in custom stone solutions for residential, commercial, hospitality, restaurant, and specialty projects. We are seeking candidates who have experience in facilitating work throughout a manufacturing facility, warehouse, or similar setting. This position is an important role in our operations and will be part of the final stop of our manufacturing process to ensure a productive work flow and overall accuracy of the Handwork Shop based on specified work orders.

Essential Job Functions:

• Work cart organization
• Handwork table loading/shuttling/unloading
• Job piece count inventory checking
• Rodding reinforcement application for granite countertops
• Job packing/crating
• Assist with automatic edge machine operation
• Assist with basic automatic edge machine maintenance 
• Have a high attention to detail and takes pride in crafting high quality products while minimizing product defects

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• An understanding of the fabrication process and ability to interpret blue prints & shop drawings
• Must be able to operate an overhead crane and forklift when needed
• All Individuals must be able to lift over 50lbs
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include working outside the typical schedule of Mon-Fri, and overtime
• Able to complete a satisfactory physical exam, background check, and drug screen
• Must be able to wear protective equipment that includes steel toe shoes, eye wear and face mask
• Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, lift, squat and stand for long periods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly and follow directions
• Ability to work effectively both independently as well as part of a team
• Prefer craftsman with 1 years of experience but we are willing to work with and train individuals who demonstrate that they are a good fit
