Position Summary
The Grant Administrative Specialist will serve as the grant funding liaison between federal, state, and local agencies and organizations. The Grant Administrative Specialist will be responsible for developing forms, processes, procedures, and policies for the purpose of implementing a consistent grant application methodology. Under general supervision, coordinates and performs a variety of skilled administrative functions, and tracks and analyzes grant-funded programs, budgets, and expenditures. Monitor the full range of standardized pre-award, award, post-award, and close-out functions associated with appropriation of grants.
Coordinates administrative business, policy, and analytical work involving the award, and/or obligation of funds and/or closeout of grants using financial, administrative, business, and negotiation practices.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with County staff and granting agencies associated with the development, funding, and operation of grants.
Monitor and verify County compliance with grant funding agency reporting requirements, including scope of work and environmental documents.
Compiles data and submits operational and financial reports in accordance with funding agency requirements within time limitations specified.
Prepares grant reports as required.
Develops and manages grant revenue and expenditure tracking procedures.
Reviews grant funding invoices for accuracy and completeness.
