Position : Technical Data Management SME
Location: Huntsville, AL
Schedule: Full-Time / Exempt

Position Description

Gray Analytics is seeking candidate who will provide Configuration Management (CM) engineering support (software, hardware, and documentation) to a US Army government project office (PO). The candidate will provide technical expertise and support in the functional areas of Configuration Management Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Configuration Status Accounting, Configuration Verification and Auditing, Data Management (DM) and Intellectual Property (IP)/Data Markings. The candidate will plan, prepare, and execute CM activities in support of Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs and various other new engineering design initiatives. The candidate will propose and/or implement CM processes and tool improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

• Preparing, reviewing, and coordinating contract requirement packages and provide input to CM/DM specific requirements.
• Reviewing and maintaining accuracy of all functional, allocated, and product baseline documentation associated with managed system configurations.
• Leading and participating in functional and physical configuration audits.
• Providing guidance and briefings to IFMC PO senior leaders on CM/DM activities, impacts and plans as required.
• Must be a resident near the local field office (Redstone Arsenal, AL), or be willing to relocate.
• A bachelor's degree (or Master's) in an Engineering oriented discipline or related field and 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• HS diploma with 6 years of relevant experience is also acceptable.
• Candidates must have a solid understanding of DoD 5000 CM-related requirements and CM related industry and Army standards (i.e. EIA-649, EIA-649-1, MIL-HDBK-61, ASME standards, etc.)
• Candidate must be a US citizen

Other Qualifications:

• Experience with missile defense systems in the CM domain is a plus.
• Candidate must be experienced with Microsoft Office products.
• Candidates with experience with industry accepted CM tools (Atlassian Tool suite (Jira/Confluence)) and an understanding of Agile software development are preferred.
• Candidate should have an understanding of systems engineering methodology and techniques.
• Candidate must be able to think independently and be self-motivated, with proven organizational skills, ability to multi-task and support varied assignments.
• Good communication skills are important, with a positive and friendly demeanor.

Security Requirements:

• Candidate must have a Secret security clearance.
