As a Tax Accountant - Income Tax you will assist in the preparation of all federal and state income tax returns, reporting and miscellaneous other analytical work related to corporate income tax.
In This Role You Will
- Prepare, track, and file all income tax returns with payments; resolve issues with state and local taxing authorities.
- Prepare book versus tax adjustments for income tax returns, estimated tax payments, and quarterly financial statement provision entries.
- Provide support for critical tax systems, related system reporting, and applicable tax data analytics.
- Stay abreast of changes in federal and state income tax law.
- Assist in other areas of tax preparation and filing.
- Balance Corporate tax general ledger accounts.
- Research tax issues related to federal and state tax accounts with State Departments of Revenue and related taxing authorities.
- Monitor compliance with corporate tax policies and procedures; make recommendations for improvement.
- 3 years’ experience in income tax/tax accounting
- Four-year degree; Advanced degree preferred
- Ability to stay current in federal and state tax laws
- Knowledge of taxes and related legislation
- Knowledge of audit data requirements and related support
- Knowledge of federal and state income tax filing forms
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred
