DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote Graymont’s World Class Vision.
- Enhance the plant social license.
- Ensure plant compliance with all internal and external health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Work with regional operations controller to develop and implement the operating cost and capital plan.
- Continue the enhancement of the existing safety culture such that our people are not injured on or off the job.
- Collaborate with all employees to continue to develop innovative initiatives to improve operational performance.
- Maintain effective relationships with employees, local communities, state and federal regulatory agencies, state and federal elected officials, suppliers, customers and Graymont functional staff.
- Ensure the entire workforce is effectively developed, deployed, and managed.
- Implement Strategic Framework and corporate initiatives, ensuring these are clearly communicated, understood, and followed within the plant.
- Contribute to the success of the Graymont Lime Group by sharing information and applying internal best practices.
- Perform “on call” duties on rotation with the supervision team.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- 10 years of experience in heavy industry, manufacturing and/or mine processing.
- 5 years of supervisory experience.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining a safe work culture.
- Must possess strong people skills and be capable of developing and maintaining positive relationships with managers, employees, and customers.
- Proven track record for creating employee ownership of safety, production, and quality, leads by example.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—both written and oral. Well organized and able to process large amounts of complex information.
- Able to motivate, coach and develop people in alignment with Graymont’s World Class Vision.
- Strong financial management skills (analysis, budgeting, planning, etc.)
