A rigger is responsible for moving extra-heavy equipment, machinery, and materials that are impossible to be moved through conventional methods. A rigger makes use of cranes and lifts to help transport heavy equipment, machinery, or large heavy cargo such as manufacturing equipment or construction machinery.
Job Summary
Assess items to develop a lifting and moving strategy to Lift and move extremely large or heavy objects on a regular basis (a minimum of 50 pounds) Properly select gear for each job to avoid injury to self and others and avoid damage to freight and machinery Inspect rigging equipment to ensure it is in good working order Attach and detach loads with all safety rules and regulations Safely maneuver loads through difficult and confined spaces Examine tool and equipment needed for each job on a daily or as needed basis Monitor, fix and replace tools and equipment as needed
Report and escalate all concerns/situations to management immediately Be able to operate machinery including but not limited to forklift, pallet jack, telehandler and similar equipment.

- Be unafraid of heights, climbing ladders and walking across scaffolding
- Keep up-to-date and willing to comply with all safety standards Use sound judgement, initiative, tenacity, and flexibility
- Communicates and works cooperatively and effectively with all personnel, good math skills for calculating load requirements,
- attend required meetings and trainings,
- Prepare and communicate reports as needed, work extended hours as needed,
- Attendance is expected and must be reliable.
- 2-3 year industry experience
- Have experience using modern tools and equipment Following Fields. Rigging, Construction, Welding, Carpenter or electrician.
- High School Diploma / GED, OSHA 10 preferred
- Pass pre-employment drug screen.
