Branch Manager:
Job Purpose: Assign, direct and supervise branch activity while managing staff and fostering a positive work environment. Generate new business within branch market for deposit accounts and loans. Maintain a strong, visible, and positive presence in the community through involvement in community events and clubs.
Job Duties / Primary Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations of the branch, including staff scheduling, customer service and compliance with banking regulations.
Develop and implement strategies to meet branch goals and objectives, including deposit growth, loan volume and profitability targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their financial needs and promoting the bank’s products and services.
Build a loan portfolio with consumer and small commercial loans and lines of credit to ensure growth goals are attained.
Engage with customers and community members through direct contact, telephone conversations, lunch meetings, local networking events and community activities to promote the bank and meet the branches growth goals.
Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
Provide training, coaching, professional development and motivation to branch staff ensuring they perform their job duties according to company policies and procedures while complying with all applicable federal and state regulations.
Locate areas of branch improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
Job Requirements:
Proven branch management experience, as a bank manager or similar role
Ability to meet sales targets and production goals
Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations
Customer focused
Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
Accurate and precise attention to detail
