 The Risk Analyst’s primary purpose is to assist Great Lakes Credit Union to live out our Vision, “To be the members’ trusted financial partner “. Responsible for ensuring that outstanding service is delivered to both internal and external members, in alignment with our Service Promise.

The Risk Analyst is also responsible for the coordination of audit visits, for various audit and regulatory examinations, preparing and collecting data from the various business units. Assisting and supporting management and the Risk Team functions. Specifically, the Risk Analyst will be the primary liaison with Internal Auditors and Examiners. The Risk Analyst will coordinate finding resolution and create board reporting of the same. The Risk analyst will also be the owner of Risk Action Reports to circulate to Senior Risk Management leaders. 

As a Risk Analyst your duties will be: 

· Assisting with investigations and researching accounts using resources ranging from information located within GLCU systems, to using the internet, reaching out to shared branching partners, to FinCEN's 314b information sharing portal.

· Assisting with monitoring Quality Control results for trending and risk indicators. You will also cross train to conduct onsite branch audit and monitor staffing changes and branch risk levels.  

· You will review and research member complaints, drafting responses, tracking, and responding in a timely matter.

· You will coordinate all audit visits and will work with the Business Units on gathering requested items for audits, monitoring finding responses. 

· You will create management reports, as needed, utilize risk management software, to enhance monitoring and improve efficiency Track, and measure the success of the onboarding program, making recommendation to change or enhance the program as needed. 

Requirements

• Three years to five years of similar or related experience
• A 2-year college degree, or completion of a specialized study at school, or extensive in-house training
• Significant level of trust and diplomacy is required - Work involves extensive personal contact of personal or sensitive nature
• Decision making requires analytical ability, judgement, and ingenuity - moderate amount of discretion
• Problems encountered are somewhat complex, analysis, weighing the outcomes - problems are generally similar in nature
• Nominal Impact - little authority to make decisions that would impact the overall goals and objectives
