Great Lakes Transport is looking for motivated, self-starters who are eager to learn, earn, and advance in an ever-growing industry. As a Logistics Track and Trace Specialist, you are on the logistics side of the brokerage, working between our carrier network and customers. This position interacts with individuals at many levels of the organization and will work both independently and in conjunction with other internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring strong lines of communication on each of our daily shipments.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for tracking & trace of freight shipments between our shipping customers and their receivers
Perform tracking of domestic shipments and be responsible for ensuring purchase orders are routed/appointed on time then picked up and shipped
Partnership with shippers, carriers and receivers to ensure timely pick up & deliveries.
Assist shippers and receivers by providing support and analysis around the location and timing of deliveries
Exercises discretion and independent judgement throughout daily operations and escalates issues that may cause delays in shipments.
Communicate critical information to internal and external partners in a clear, concise, and professional manner
Proactively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solutions; ability to make real time decisions with little guidance.
Build and maintain relationships with key personnel and our clients
Maintain strong internal relationships across our Account Manager, Carrier Manager, Sales and Administration teams
Act as carrier escalation point to assist with the resolution of any open issues
Requirements:
Minimum 1-year experience in customer service, sales, or operations role
Logistics experience is a plus
Attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve
Solid organization and time-management skills
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office Products with the ability to learn logistics software quickly
Able to communicate clearly and concisely, in written and verbal communications

Great Lakes Transport's standard business hours are 8 am - 5 pm EST, Monday through Friday
