Salary Range: $58,141 - $72,676 (Based on Professional Experience)SummaryWe are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Control System Engineer. In this role, you will perform engineering work for municipal projects, including executing highly technical, complex projects focused at the GLWA Water Resource Recovery Facilities and Combined Sewer Overflow facilities. You will collaborate and work with senior leadership to design, build and implement control modifications to existing systems. Provide design and construction oversight for contracted services and manage projects for the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA). Job ResponsibilitiesImplement modifications to the existing Ovation and Rockwell control systemsProject management. Review of contract documents per system requirements and master specificationsSupervise and approve control system testing.Advanced skills in reading and interpreting contract drawings/specifications and schematic drawingsEstimating construction change costs and preparing budget managementPreparing proposals, bids, plans, drawings, specifications, and detailed computations for municipal engineering projectsCollaborating on-field and design issues on the construction of projectsAbility to manage multi projects to meet KPIs and target deadlinesReviewing testing related to proper maintenance and operation of equipmentPerforming related work duties as assignedRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering Two (2) years of Ovation, Rockwell/Allen Bradley or other manufacturer control s programming experience preferredEngineering and construction management experience preferred Experience in process controls or automation projectsE.I.T. (Engineer In Training) certificateAdvance to Engineer Level 3 within four (4) years of Level 2 designation Other RequirementsA valid Michigan Driver License and the ability to drive a motor vehicle on all terrainAbility to work irregular hours, to commute to GLWA facilities and work sitesEssential Physical RequirementsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. This position requires the ability to climb, bend, twist, carry, stack, push, pull and other efforts requiring considerable physical strength. This position also requires the ability to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds, walk, stand, or work for long periods of time, demonstrate normal color perception, hear audible alarms, detect abnormal equipment sounds, visually inspect equipment and processes at any time of the day or night. Employees will be required to wear respiratory protection and other personal protective equipment; perform scaffold, confined space, elevated and underground work. Employees will also be required to pass a vision test, yearly baseline physical and fit test for respirator/Self Contained Breathing Apparatus.
