Join our team as a Guest Experiences Associate at the Winton Woods Campground! At Great Parks, our team members work together to preserve and protect natural resources and to provide outdoor recreation and education in order to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.
Parks of Hamilton County is accepting applications for part time Guest Experiences Associates at the Winton Woods Campground. This part time position works various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Greets and serves guests at park entrance booths, campgrounds and other park facilities. Performs ground maintenance and other custodial duties. Position frequently includes cash handling and reservation responsibilities. Standard practice allows employee to proceed alone on regular duties with questionable situations referred to supervisor.
- Performs job duties in accordance with Great Parks of Hamilton County’s policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
- Maintains confidentiality of confidential and sensitive information.
- Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and punctual attendance and works outside of normal schedule as required.
- If over 18: drives Great Parks’ vehicle. Essential duties may require the employee to drive their personal vehicle within the park to transport supplies, materials or a cash box to the worksite.
- Greets and serves guests to ensure satisfaction. Handles guest inquires.
- Assists with set-up and operation of special events.
- Performs various grounds maintenance. Operates a variety of grounds maintenance equipment and tools.
- Prepares food products, and maintains clean and sanitary conditions.
- Transports change orders, merchandise, food, mail and supplies.
- Organizes, fills orders and distributes uniforms. Maintains inventory records.
- Opens facilities and prepares for daily business. Closes and secures facilities at end of business day.
- Takes inventory of merchandise and records results.
- Operates point-of-sale system, reservation system, cash box and cash register.
- Takes inventory of merchandise and records results.
- Assists guests at welcome entrance booths, sells and monitors compliance of motor vehicle permits.
- Sells food and merchandise, maintains merchandise displays, rents equipment, makes reservations and operates motorized equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness of guest and employee areas including restrooms. May include other housekeeping duties.
Qualifications
An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must be at least 18 years or, or 19 years old if serving alcohol. May be required to complete alcohol service training on an annual basis. May be required to complete safe food service training on an annual basis. An example of an acceptable qualification is:
Ability to document identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act requirements.
LICENSE OF CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License that meets GPHC current carrier guidelines.
