Overview
Great Plains SPCA is searching for a Donor Database Assistant for the Merriam, Kansas location. The mission of Great Plains SPCA is to drive change in our community through innovative programs that promote adoption, outreach, and a better life for pets and the people who love them. Great Plains SPCA is the Kansas City Metro’s most unique and comprehensive No Kill animal welfare organization, serving nearly 6,000 pets in need, annually.
The Donor Database Assistant is a part-time, non-exempt position that is responsible for creating and maintaining constituent records within the donor database.
Work Schedule:
- Work schedule and hours can vary based on candidate’s availability, however, there will need to be some flexibility based on the organization’s needs. Some weekday availability required.
- The position will start with 5-15 hours per week.
- The position can be remote, however, it will require occasional work from the Great Plains SPCA office in Merriam, KS.
Pay Range: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Prepare records for importing into donor database software.
- Review data entry performed by volunteers for accuracy.
- Assist in the management and organization of files and scanned batches.
- Make updates and corrections to donor database as needed.
- Assist with reporting and database cleanup as needed.
- Assist with donor database migration.
- Assist with other duties as needed.
- Work closely with Donor Database Administrator to coordinate needs.
Qualifications
- Must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to problem solve.
- Able to handle confidential material with discretion.
- Ability to work independently as well as with teams.
- High value for quality, compassion, teamwork, collaboration and fun!
- Experience with donor database or CRM software is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in nonprofit organization a plus.
- High School diploma/GED.
- Must be comfortable working around all types of pets including dogs, cats etc.
- Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs.
- Potential exposure to zoonotic diseases, dangerous and fractious animals, and high noise levels.
