Job Title:                 Speech & Language Therapist

Department:         Special Education

Reports To:           Special Education Director

Job Summary:      The Speech/Language Pathologist assists in developing speech and language skills to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. In order to respond to the individual needs and abilities of students, the Speech/Language Pathologist must work closely with the staff and special education Director. This is a virtual (online) full time position.

Supervisory Responsibilities:          None

Duties/Responsibilities:        

• Assist in developing speech and language skills to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students.
• Establish a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of students.
• Ensure that all activities conform to district and school guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the school staff, students, parents, and administration.
• React to change productively and handle other tasks as assigned. Support the value of an education and the philosophy and vision of the school and district.

Required Skills/Abilities:

If you have a passion for unique, individualized approaches to learning, working collaboratively with all teachers and educational service providers, and are an experienced, licensed psychologist, Greater Commonwealth Virtual School (GCVS) is looking for you. We’re seeking a psychologist who can apply their unique skill sets to our proven, virtual home-based model of education. Flexibility and the ability to embody reflective practices on an ongoing basis are essential.

Education and Experience:  

Current Speech and Language Pathologist Therapist Licensure in Massachusetts

Master’s degree
