As a Medical Records Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining and organizing patient medical records in a timely and accurate manner. This is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations of our medical office.
Duties:
- Collect, organize, and maintain patient medical records in both physical and electronic formats
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all medical records
- File and retrieve medical records as needed
- Scan and upload documents into the electronic health record system
- Assist healthcare providers in locating and accessing patient records
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation of patient care
- Perform data entry tasks related to patient demographics, diagnoses, treatments, and procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical records management
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health record systems
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
